I decided to put Rocco on Kangaroo as a change from raw and as he has a sensitive stomach. It is an excellent alternative to raw!

It took me a year to find food that suited my dog. After learning about novel proteins, she’s like a new dog – happy, itch-free, with healthy skin and loads of energy. Switching to Happy Dog was the best decision I’ve made.
Novel Proteins
I moved to this after a lot of issues with my dog's tummy – he loves it.
Tummy issues
Mabel has allergies but since she's been on ostrich she's been the best she's been in nearly 2 years.
Allergies
My dog loves the food and it doesn’t make her itch like previous foods we have tried.
Itching relief
So I tried the trial bag first and my itchy Patterdale stopped scratching within two days of being on it full time.
Trial success
Product Information
Happy Dog NaturCroq XXL was specifically developed for very large breed dogs: The energy requirements of large breed dogs is very different to those of small breeds. Large breed dogs need a special composition of nutrients with moderate protein content and adapted fat content. Depending on their size they usually prefer large chunks of food, as contained in NaturCroq XXL. If the croquettes are too small, they are often wolfed down or even swallowed whole.
- With valuable animal proteins (meat, fish & offal)
- With native green herbs
- Large biscuits for large breeds
This extremely tasty, species-appropriate complete food for dogs from large and very large breeds contains carefully selected, regional ingredients. Highly digestible poultry, healthy whole-grains and valuable, local herbs form the basis for this very well tolerated recipe, and the combination of nutrients is perfectly tailored to the needs of large dogs. This crunchy, extra-large kibble made from the best ingredients from Bavarian nature is enjoyed by adult dogs of very large breeds.

Common questions
My dog is a fussy eater - any tricks with this food?
The best trick for dry food: warm it slightly - 10-15 seconds in the microwave. This releases the fats and makes the kibble smell far more appetising, which is usually what wins a fussy dog over. A spoonful of one of our Pure wet foods stirred through as a topper also works well. And if a fussy dog is refusing everything, rule out a health cause with your vet first - a sudden loss of appetite is different from fussiness.
How do I transition my dog onto this food?
Go slowly - this is the single most common mistake we see. Start with a small amount mixed into the current food, and build the proportion up gradually over 7-10 days, watching that stools stay settled. For dogs with sensitive stomachs, go even slower. If your dog does get an upset stomach during the switch, pause: go back to the previous ratio until things settle, then reintroduce more slowly.
